Saddle Bronc Saddle Stuff

im looking for the stuff that they put in they middle of stirrup leathers.. any help would be great.

you might try a bronc saddle maker like beastmaster or some of the others. i'm sure you could find more in a net search.

I asked Slim Berg, who used to build Barstow Pro Rodeo's saddles and he said they used to paint the flesh side with benzoine several times, case the leather, and then compress it between the rollers on their splitter, then stitch it. He hasn't built any for almost ten years and the rules may have changed though. When he was building bare back rigs, they were rawhide centered and that's not allowed anymore.

I'm pretty sure they used neoprene at one time. I think some still do. You could buy sheets at a shoe finding company like Southwest leather, or Montana leather
