cem Report post Posted February 16, 2013 This is not for anyone in particular but please can you put your minimum purchase requirements on your webpages. I've just spent the last week playing email hockey with one I told them in my first email how many rolls of each colour I would require that I was a small custom leather goods maker and could I get colour charts. Sure no problem we will look into that and send out colour charts. Sales: Next email hand sewing or machine / Me: no problem hand sewing I send back. Sales: We have these colours in stock / Me: that's okay I already have those. Me: I really need this colour first, stated how many rolls / Sales: ok will check Sales: how many did you want to order with the other colours / Me: Again told them what I needed and can I see colour charts Sales: No problem have that colour as well as the other ones you need, how many do you want to order / Me: I need to see the colour charts first, can't have a lot of thread in colours that I may not use told them again what I needed. (still nothing about minimums) Sales: email colour charts / Me: Was picking colours ready to send when this came back. Sales: You will need to order a carton for each colour / Me: That is way too much for me to use Each time I said to them I will only need two rolls of each colour that last email came back with a quote that was going to cost over $8000 AUD dollars ha ha ha it would take me more than a few lifetimes to get through that much thread. This has happened on more than one occasion so please suppliers/wholesalers/manufacturers can you put your minimum requirements on you webpage so potential customers know exactly where they stand to begin with.
