  1. I actually add 1/2" to the height and 1-1/2" to the width to account for the stitch line and allow for the leather thickness to get around the spine. it seems to work for me so far.
  2. That original post was from a year ago, I am certain they have had plenty of requests for testing.
  3. Thanks for sharing!!! I have been wanting to try to make a wallet but havent got the nerve up yet, I may just try it with your pattern tonight.
  4. I polished the tip and it cut like a hot knife through butter!!!!!!!
  5. I prefer to use a stitch groover as I think it makes the stitch sit down in there nice and looks professional. i have tried stitching without a groove but dont prefer it. My groover gets clogged pretty easy and then tends to jump around on the leather and make my straight line rather crooked. Is there something I am doing wrong or can do differently? Its the Tandy groover that has the tip that cuts and the guide thats adjustable.
  6. Very Nice!!!!!! I need to make a rifle sling for my FIL but need a pattern or find time to make a pattern. Yours turned out nice!
  7. Greetings, I am from Burleson, just south of Fort Worth!
  8. I guess I should introduce myself. I am a long time lurker, my name is Billy and I live in Texas. I am a hobby junkie and it drives my wife crazy. i recently got interested in leathercrafting and it has consumed my life lol I love it!!!! My wife says she has never seen me take to a hobby before. I absolutely love it, and I get to be creative. I just retired from the military after serving 22 years so this gives me something to keep my mind occupied. Still putting together my tools and stuff but having a blast so far!
  9. Far be it for me to criticize someones work as I have just started but from a consumers point of view I agree with what was said above, rounded corners for sure. My current carry setup is not quite as rounded as I would like and its mighty uncomfortable so i dont wear it much. Other than that I would love to have as much talent as you have, good work!
  10. I love it! Any insight on how you did the inside would be helpful. This is probably the best bible cover I have seen so far!
