Rawhide Report post Posted September 17, 2009 This is a portrait I completed for a family friend. Please excuse the poor camera phone picture, but it was all I had to work with at the time. She was so delighted, she actually cried... I don't know what kind of bird it is, I just started coloring and this is how it came out. Enjoy! (Critiques are always welcome). MADMAX22 Report post Posted September 17, 2009 Excellent work Marlon, too bad you dont have some more pictures. Did you use dyes or acrylics or combo?

Rawhide Report post Posted September 18, 2009 Excellent work Marlon, too bad you dont have some more pictures. Did you use dyes or acrylics or combo? Thanks for all the complements, Max, it's mostly dye. the white is the only acrylic. I sealed it with Bee Natural and gave it a once over with antique to fill in the crevices. Jimnx Report post Posted September 18, 2009 Awesome!, I like the contrast & the way the scene projects out of the frame.
Rawhide Report post Posted September 18, 2009 (edited) Amazing work, you continue to blow me away with your artistic ability! Thanks bentley, but don't be fooled...I haven't the slightest artistic ability, but I can trace with the best of them! Jimnx, thanks for the compliments Edited September 18, 2009 by Rawhide
rcsaddles Report post Posted September 18, 2009 Hey Marlon, I understand the tracing with the best of them comment. I'm not sure how good my tracing ability is but I like you make no bones about the lack of artistic ability to people. I too think you have done an excellent job on this. As always, you are your own worst critic.
