If You use one of the firefox extensions, like suggested...they will be saved onto your hard drive as files with the extension .flv. In order to play them on your dvd, you will have to have a software that will convert from .flv to something that will play on your dvd. Modern dvd players can play .mp3, mp4, mpg, etc., or you can convert to divx.

VLC media is free, and can convert, but there's a lot of software out there that is free, and will do a bit better conversion job.

You can also go to www.kissyoutube.com and enter in the url of the video you want and download it that way also. Then you can get a program called Free FLV Converter that will allow you to convert it to .avi, mpeg-3 & 4, ipod formats and a few others.

Easiest way to download frm YouTube is RealPlayer. Everytime you see a video it will offer to download it for you.

Thank you, one and all, for all the help.

I have forwarded your e-mails to my IT people (my 3rd son), and we'll move from there.

Thanks once again, Guys ! (uh, generically speaking).

Harvey

Just remember, they are highly compressed videos and won't look all that great when sent to a DVD. (especially on larger TV's - 32" and up.)
