WaG35 Report post Posted October 18, 2008 Here is a holster that I am working on for my Glock 23 w/light, actually the first one that I have done in quite a while. The picture isn't the best because I took it with my phone. I am pretty happy with it though. I haven't decided what color yet but I am thinking some kind of brown or mahogony. I am tired of black. It's made with 8/9 which is why there isn't a lot of defenition. Also I didn't want to bone it too much and cause problems with the draw because of the light. Nothing real extravagent. Randyc Report post Posted October 20, 2008 Unique design to say the least. I've never attempted to build a holster around a pistol with an attached light. I'm sure the attached light presented some design problems. It may not be practical but could you have squared off the bottom of the holster and still have a design that worked? WaG35 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 you are correct Randy, it did present some problems. First off was in the molding. I had to draw the gun out slowly molding as I went, to get the shape of the light all the way to the top of the holster. If I had been building the holster for my Glock 35 with the light, I probably would have left it squared off at the bottom because the light and the muzzle pretty much line up. With the 23 the light sticks past the end of the muzzle by quite a bit. So if I had left it squared off there would have been a good bit of empty space at the bottom of the holster. That was another one of my dilemas building this thing and I am not sure that I solved it right. This will be the last holster I build for a gun with the attached light.
