Singer Model 29-4 Question.

Recommended Posts

I am looking at a 29-4 Machine now the only problem is the rod that goes between the treadle and cam is missing. I was wonder that this is called and could someone take a photo and give me the measurement of the rod and hole locations?

TIA

Chris

Thanks Bob! So Bob from center of hole to center of hole is 12 3/4"? If I were looking for a replacement ( I think there were two different kind wood or iron) I know the wood ones were made of maple. What is the total length of the piece?

Thanks Chris

... I was wonder that this is called and ........?

If I'm not mistaken it's called a pitman. I wouldn't be surprised if pitmans from other Singer treadles would work (non 29s), but get measurements first.

That aught to be cool, post a picture after you're done.
