been looking round and for me here in sweden its about 20 € and then yet another 20 € for a multisized slicker.... and to be fair i dont think its worth that. perhaps the first 18-20€ .. so im tossing out a qq if some1 has one lying around in a box that they are not useing that they are willing to donate / sell for a cheap sum. im not fuzzy and i know that workmanship costs but im not wanting to pay 20 € for shipping just coz its a fixed shipping cost.

you find a multisized edgeslicker for about 5.14 € there (used by hand without any motorization. The edger is slightly cheaper, too as they got different brands and stuff. I never ordered there yet, but I am planning to do it later on. So I can´t say anything about the shop itself yet, but their prices don´t look that wrong.

När det gäller slickers kan jag hålla med om att de som finns här inte är värt mycket om ens något. OM du är villig att lägga en slant på det bäst slickers som finns, kika in här:

When it comes to slickers I'll agree to there's nothing here (Sweden/Scandinavia etc.) that's worth the money. If you're willing to put some money in to the best there is, check this out: http://www.leatherburnishers.com/

Ed is a member here (Ed the Bearman), I think it's his son that makes them. I do have them myself and they are outstanding, by now nothing I can be without :-)

So actually I got a little less than I thought ^^.
But I am always interested in sources in europe, even if there are outstanding toolmakers in the usa I´d like to order from, shipment is an argument for me. And if there are some in europe it would be much easier for me to order

Don't know if you found anything yet but there are plenty of cheap slickers on ebay. They're raw wood and could benefit from a little varnish.

Varnish??? Personally I would not like having varnish rubbing of on my leather work...

I have one slicker from ebay that works pretty good it is sort of round and cone shaped with different sizes of grooves in it . I think it came from china. it was relatively inexpensive . I did some light sanding on it and treated it with a oil and beeswax . which made it work better . as I recall shipping was a couple of dollars US . I have a power slicker and it serves a purpose But Mine doesn't put as nice a finish as a hand done one I still usually go back to my deer antler that I made . Cut off a tine take a small round fine file and shape the grooves to your desired width and shape and lightly sand it till it feels very smooth oil it occasionally. I have never found anything that works better . It also doubles pretty good for a slicker. You are lucky in Europe you have access to Roe deer antlers which have a much thicker outside shell. than our whitetail and mule deer in America .
