  1. Ah, ya see, at my house, I know the shop and where things belong just about as well as my darlin' husband does. The problem starts when the half grown kids don't put stuff back where it belongs. Dad blast it, 1x4 is about the only thing I don't have, so it's a trip to the lumber store for me. Wouldn't ya know I WANT TO SEW but first I have to replace the oil sending unit on my Jeep.
  2. Thank ya'll so much!! I am truly humbled by all the post answering my question. Gotta get the dang laundry done but then I'll head out to the shop and see what I can conjure up.
  3. Quick and cheap......now that's what I'm talking about I would really appreciate the pictures! We have wood and scrap lumber, screws by the hundreds, hum, not sure about the spring clamp but that's easy. Thanks ever so much.
  4. O.K. I read the post and saved the plans for the stitching horse but in reading some folks mentioned a "pony". I assume (ya, ya, I know about assuming ) that this is a smaller version. If so does someone have plans for this? Not ready to get so involved in constructing the horse at this time and I tried my hand at some stitching while holding the piece and scratched my finger twice and stuck another one. OUCH! Thanks
  5. Thanks for the input. I probably like it 'cause it's the only stuff I have seen and "Daddy used it" . Will check Tandy out for sure. What else do folks use to line purses with? Janet
  6. Thanks ya'll, I think I want to start working on a purse and Dad used this stuff to line the ones he made. All I know is it feels thin and is embossed and is old. Not that I'm old or anything. I kinda like it but if ya'll have anyother suggestions let me know. Janet
  7. This was made for me 45/50 some odd years ago. I know the liner came in different colors (my brothers was green) and patterns, just don't know if it's even still around/made. Of course I'm asking about the red liner, but decided to add the pics of the whole album. And yes I noticed it desperately needs some cleaning up. Janet
  8. I really like it! Not much into the bling stuff myself. Dumb question, do you do the basket weave first than the barb wire stamp? Saw a people belt stamped like this at Tandy several years ago want to make one but my practice attempts look pretty yucky Janet
  9. I don't have any technical knowledge about braiding except my daughter's hair, but man I love this work. The colors and patterns of the black and red, I just kept staring at the pics. following the wave lines. Makes me want to try my hand at this type of braiding.
