Where Would You Guys Recommend Buying My Leather At?

Hey guys, I have bought some leather on ebay before but was wondering where you guys would reccomend for me to pick up some small quantities of leather? Also I made a coaster out of some leather that was pretty thick probably 3/16" thick. Can you guys tell me what weight I need to order to get the same?

If you have a Tandy store near you by all means visit. The managers and clerks are normally knowledgeable and you can get scrap bags plus smaller skins of 8 or 9 square feet.

I have very little to no problem with their leather. When visiting the store you can select whatever you want.

these folks have the smaller pieces you want. 9 ounce material is what u are looking for.

I second Tandy for starters. It is nice being able to see , and pick out what you want. My closest Tandy (Las Vegas) has a great manager, and Dee is always very helpful. They also teach classes, and the leather guild meets there too.

If you have no choice but to order online, check out Springfield Leather (ad banner at top). They have good deals and if you need less than what you see on the site, they will cut leather to get you what you want/need.
