Nice stuff Gremlin! Those look like some awsome fun to do. Nice solution with the D-rings to keep the strap, haven't seen them around here in a proper size for bracers except plastic ones.

Nice edges, looks professional!

Thanks Tom. Those small d-rings are from Leather Factory. As for the edges, I'm kinda anal about burnishing all exposed edges.

Me to, sorta'. I'm not very good at it but learning more and more but so far I prefer to do the mexican round braid to edge burnishing.

The skull bracer was just wet polished edges whilst tooling it since I was so anal with the painting on this one I couldn't give more time to it. That doesn't show much when antiquing comes on but I have to practice with the brush and spirits.

Thanks. LOL, nope, nothing else Ken. :innocent: At least not yet. Thinking thru the mechanics of articulation for sholders and knees tho.

I've had some mild success putting a piece of card between the pieces of leather when hammering the rivet. Same technique is used for peening rivets in plate armour.

It gives the leather a bit of play and worked really well for a pair of gauntlets i made with 2mm leather.
