  1. Hey Everyone, Ive been asked to make a 11/2 foot by 6 1/2 foot long table cover that can be placed on the table top securely and removed when not wanted. It will go on top of a stainless steel table. I have a few questions and hoping to get some advice: 1. Any ideas on how to make this table top stay secured in one place while on the table top? I don't want it slipping this way or that. I was wondering about using magnets somehow. Any thoughts or ideas?? 2. What's the best type of leather (Thickness, finish, veg vs chrome vs oil)? I want the table top to feel heavy and have quality to it. Durability is a must. I want leather that can take some wear and tear but be buffed and polished to made to look new again. And I want the leather to be highly water resistant if not, water proof. I would also like the leather to be subtle enough that it can be rolled up and store away when not on the table top. That should do it. I'd appreciate any help i can get. Thanks
  2. i wasn't clear on my description. I want one braid with a D ring at each end of that same braid.
  3. Here is a drawing about what I'm talking about. The ends of the loop between the leather. How do you sew that?
  4. The picture I posted in my first post should give a good idea what I'm trying to do. I'm wanting to take a rectangle of leather, fold that through a D ring. Then on the open end of the rectangle (opposite the D ring) I want to take a cord (Nylon or leather...) and "sandwich" the ends of the cord inside the open end of the folded rectangle. I'm concerned on how to sew the ends of the cord between the leather so that I have a secure and long lasting effect.
  5. I'm going to do a 4 strand round braid with a core. My dilemma is that i can't find any info on how to end a braid without the lace looking messy. My intentions are to have a dee ring at the end of each braid. The start is easy because you loop the lace but the end is where I am at a loss. Any good instruction or alternatives. Thanks Josh
  6. Hello everyone, I want to make a camera strap with nylon loops at the end of the strap that will attach to the camera itself. The picture attached is an example of what I'm talking about. The difference will be a dee ring opposite the loop. how to a secure something like nylon rope or even a leather loop at the end of a strap. Is there a specific way to stitch the leather? I handstitch just so you know. not sure if that'll guide the suggestions. THanks Josh
