Putting A Singer K6 Back Into Time

Hey,

I was fiddling around with the stitch length earlier today and now my machine wont feed. needle just goes up and down and nothing feeds through.

The stitch length adjuster has been very tight since I got it but now I can't sew anything

anyone tell me what needs to be done?

They are capable of going to no feed dog movement, try adjusting for a longer stitch. That machine will go to as long as 10mm or longer . Not practical for any more than 8spi due to the large needles and thread they are designed for. Gump

If the stitch length adjustment is gone then it could be that the screw in the mechanism has broken.

Open the top plate and look at the mechanism on the left. There are three discs with the central one being the eccentric. There are two bolts between the three plates and check that the one in the right adjustment slot isn't broken off.

If the bolt is broken then call Bob at Toledo and he will sell you a replacement.
