My First Card Case

Recommended Posts

My first attempt was a learning experiance.

Lessons learned- Make sure the starting width is wide enough and form the pocket before sewing. Puzzle pieces are harder to carve than I imagined.

Neat idea using puzzle pieces! I like that you colored them - makes it stand out!

Spider,

Thanks. (The second will be better.)

This is an Autism Awareness Ribbon. The puzzle pieces represent what autism is to most Doctors, a puzzle.

My son is autistic, so this has special meaning to me.

Crystal / Storm,

Thanks, the Eco dyes are another lesson I am trying to learn. The colors seem to opaque after mutiple coatings, but I will figure it out or try something different.

How old is your son? My son Frank who is 12 is also autistic. I have been wanting to make something with the puzzle pieces, but haven't yet. I am trying to talk my father into making me a stamp for the puzzle piece.
