That is some serious work. You_Rock_Emoticon.gif

Not just the tooling, but the coloring/gilding/dye job your've done on it.

What is the size of that?

Very nice with great lettering, that's going to make someone very happy. If you don't mind me asking, what did you use for the gold colour?

Thank you! The diameter to the outside gold border was 14".

A fantastic job on this - and again some inspiration I get from this board for future projects. Never thought of a clock till now. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you, Stephan. I was stuck on another project a while ago and someone suggested making a clock out of it. Now everything looks like a clock! :)

Thanks, Andrew. I used Angelus acrylic. I think I either got it from http://peasandcornco.com/shoeandleathercare/angelusacrylicpaint.asp or from http://turtlefeathers.net/text/angelus/paint.html .

Thank you, Boma. I haven't had a lot of luck painting things that get hard use. I think for those I should have just used dyes.

SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL !!!

I would love to see a photo of the leather, before you dyed it.

I love clocks made with leather. There are so many different types that can be done using leather.

"LEATHER", what a beautiful medium to work with !

I'm astounded, beautiful and very detailed and a very accurate depiction of the Eagle, Globe and Anchor (EGA). Just when I thought Sheridan Carving was the only way to make leather truely beautiful, you turn me around. The lettering and coloring is amazing.
