Back in 2003 or so I used to use a product called Neat-Lac. It was a reliable resist and I liked the way it aged the leather.

Now, after recently getting back into leatherwork, I discover it is gone.

I am not satisfied with Super Shene or Satin Sheen to do this job.

Does anyone know of a good replacement for Neat-Lac?

Thanks.

Or you can also find it under the name of Clear-Lac which is available from Springfield Leather or directly from LCI (the manufacturer).

It should NOT be confused with a product called "Saddle-Lac", which is similar, but MUCH shinier IMO.

Bee's Natural RTC finish is another alternative without the vapors. Clear Lac (offered by Springfield Leather) is made from the same company that made Neat Lac (LCI). It has worked well for me. I also have a quart of WyoSheen from Sheridan Outfitters's in Wyoming. It works well. I would agree with others that there will never anything like Neat Lac, so you just have to find a product that works for you.

Good luck and welcome back!
