lilnickel1918 Report post Posted June 15, 2015 I am brand new in the leather world and am looking for help with creating an American flag collar for my service dog. I am working on the exact design (tracing from vellum paper) but am struggling with the consistency of my outline. Basically I want to outline a waving flag and dye/paint that. Nothing super complicated in theory. 1)Suggestions for a good stylus and what size/type tip? I am just practicing with a tandy leather one and with their belt leather. I plan on either a 1.5" or 2" wide collar (mastiff). If anyone has a better suggestion for the leather please let me know. 2)I'm messing around with arylic paints because I can get bright solid colors vs the tandy dyes. I want to be able to get bright colors that I can mix with a pearl or glitter but hear good dyes can get that effect? A good set up brushes? Thank you!
