  1. I don't see anything that screams oil reserve, but the "frame" seems like it's hollow and would potentially hold a serious amount of oil...
  2. Yeah that's just it, I don't see a single grease zerk on this machine... the closest I find are hinged oil ports...
  3. Thanks a lot for your insight.... Would any paraffin based machine oil do? I'll take a look at the connections and switches...
  4. Hello all! I work for a company that manufactures custom foot and ankle braces, and in the shop we have an "Ideal Clicking Machine Model C". The machine is used daily but upon asking around it appears nobody has been maintaining it. I can't even get a straight answer as to when the last time oil was changed/added and what type of oil was used. Recently it's become a little finicky and will misfire, either double clicking or missing the click entirely. If I had to guess I'd say the problem lies in a faulty switch. I've noticed some of you own the same or similar machines. My questions are: What type of oil should we be adding to the ports? The best I can tell is we should be using a paraffin based machine oil. Is this correct? What other maintenance should we be doing? Should anything be greased? Anything else? What could potentially be the problem with the misfiring? There are two handle switches, is this where to begin? Is it the controller? Or maybe something else? I did an web search and came up with little information, and that's when I stumbled across your wonderful site. It seems like a few of you have extensive experience with this unit and I'm really hoping someone here can provide me with the information I'm lacking. Thanks in advance for your time!
