Cowboy 3200 Stitching Layers Question

Recommended Posts

Hello All ... I have a Cowboy 3200, and I have a queston re. stitching several layers. For instance, when stitching several layers putting together a wallet, the stitch seems to disappear into the leather like it is too tight.....My thread tensions are all the way backed off......I have been experimenting with different tensions etc.....When I stitch a single layer or two lighter layers, the stitch is real nice....thick seems to make the stitch shorter and sucked up into the leather.......any suggestions or adjustments to make. Thanks........Don

Gee, I mentioned this exact same problem with my own CB3200 a while back...

Nevermind. I have a migraine right now and don't have the patience to do this right now...

I sent you a PM...

Have you tried to adjust stitch length?

Yes, and that does help, but still get the "sucked up stitch" look......I'll keep experimenting .... There has to be a combination of tensions that will work.

Try reducing both tensions together if the thread is being pulled into/below the surface of the leather.

Tom

Both tensions are reduced together and then increased together...
