  1. hiya. this is my problem i can,t adjust the tension cause if i do it won,t stitch.it jams up. the only way it will work is if the machine has max tension on the thread. if i loosen the tension slightly the shuttle dosen,t pick up the thread to make the stitch.
  2. top tension yes.thread is 40,s (usa 69) needle size 20 was brought from a dealer it was there mechanic who came out and sorted it. he did adjust the bobbin tension as well.
  3. brought a singer 211 A566A after alot of hassle and visits from the sewing machine mechanic finally got it up and running. problem is now to keep it running the thread has to be on max tension and if i loosen it just a little bit it dosen,t stitch and gets jammed up.the mechanic said this is normal.it will stitch leather 3.5mm fine but the stitch is so tight due to the tension. if i put any thinner leather in it jams up due to the tightness of the thread.if i release the tension to compensate it dosen,t stitch and jams up.changing needles or thread same result. can someone plz help i paid alot for this machine £700 u/k pounds. ty.

  8. hiya. yes i tried the set square as well but kept cutting the same.me and my misses spent overs 3 hrs on this one tool trying various methods.(i know crazy),but everytime it kept cutting one side longer.then i checked the tool itself and noticed its shaped like that.
  9. ty for reply,s i,ll send the tool back and invest in a dixons or osborne.
  10. hiya all. i just brought a strap end punch from goods japan. on cutting with it i noticed it does not cut equal sides. one side is longer cut than other side on inspecting the tool end you can see clearly its made this way. i,ve watched loads of videos and the strap end is not a equal cut on both sides of the belt or dog collar, depending on what there making in the video. is this the norm or am i being to precise about it. it just does not look right with one cut side longer than the other.
  11. hiya. i,m also looking for the basket weave stamp, but tandy ones don,t look like that one in the collar.has anyone got a website link or company who deals with this kind of stamp. ty.
  12. hiya. ty for replys i finally found it under bleed knot. a blood knot is for fishing. but you got me on the right track.
  13. hiya ty for reply i googled blood knot braiding but its all related to how to tie fishing hooks. and it dosen,t look like the dog collar braiding. any more info plz.
