  1. Oh Boy! What a shock to me. I haven't done anything here for 3 years.

Well a lot of catching up to do, editing my profile etc.

I'm proud to announce that I've opened  my new website, since I was here last.

hi there. I tried to access your website but I got a warning message that I shouldn't use it.

  2. How about watching Tandy Leather Sales, Kits come on special discounted rated, many times.
  3. Hello, Load the photo to your gallery and add a reply here and use the "my media" button to add the photo to your reply.
  4. canadiangirl, thank you so much for the link to consew manual. I have sent friend request. I'll have a look at your work to see what kind of work you like to do. Take care Ty again Rod
  5. Thank you to all who have replied. I am sending friend requests to you. i just acquired a CONSEW 206RB-1. I am unable to find a manual for this machine because of it's old age. Just finished cleaning and oiling it. I am looking for someone who can help me adjust this machine. I'd be happy to let anyone use it as well, once I get it sewing properly.
  6. Hello everyone, I'd like to connect with active leather workers in Western Canada. I think it is easier to make a post than to send individual requests. I look forward to making new friends, sharing ideas and lending a hand if I can. Take good care. Rod

    Picture resizing

I'd like to offer my help here. As well as doing my own leather design work, I also do Digital logo design. I have used Pixie, Gimp and several other prorams. I found some of them far to complicated; i.e GIMP I have used this program http://www.irfanview.com/ for some years now. I use the basic program, together with my printer/scanner. If your a bit computer savy, this will work much simpler than GIMP. Of course, resizing is a bit of a pain but it is specfied on many websites, You can do this very quickly without leaving said website. NOTE: IRANVIEW :the resizing tends to keep the original quallity) Here are a few things I use it for everyday. Cropping and Resizing Photograghs Resizing patterns. pictures and line drawings Grayscaling Creating line drawings from photographs Hope this helps!
  8. Hello Everyone. I somehow stumbled upon this site a few days ago and I was overjoyed to see all the fantastic work displayed here. I had no idea that there were so many carvers still practicing this fine art. I started tooling as a teenager, took a sabbatical in the early 80's. Now I can't go a day without having a project/s on the go. I have been reluctant to use stains or dyes, but I have been experimenting as of late. Attaching a photo of a holster that I made 30 years ago. I look forward to learning more (as the learning never stops for me) and possibly making some new friends.
