Weatherly Saddle

Recommended Posts

Here is a Weatherly that I just finished up. I am sorry about the pictures, but he guy that usually takes them for me was out Elk hunting and the customer wanted his saddle. Pretty simple saddle with basic boarder tooling. Tree was made by Rod Nikkel, hardware by Harwood, and leather Wickett & Craig.

I guess I'll be the first to tell you how nice this saddle looks. It's pretty awesome in my opinion. It doesn't look like the stirrup leathers are sewn to the fenders ( maybe just my eyes though) are they in fact separate? If so that's the first time I've seen that on stirrups with the leathers on the outside and not attached to the fender except at the buckles. Anyway, it looks like a real nice saddle to me.

Looks good Ashley. I will say, for whatever it's worth, the first thing that caught my eye was the lack of tooling on the stirrups.

Ryan,

The guy that ordered this saddle has always rode oxbow stirrups and wanted to try a 4" bell. I didnt stamp them so if he wanted me to switch out stirrups I could use these on another saddle. I agree that they stick out like a sore thumb.
