Looks great. My only concern is with the metal loops you used to put it together on the sides. I'd be worried that because it's not tight that it could allow the leather to separate on the sides with use.

My Samsara cue would look great inside that cue case, really nice, custom looking case.

The sides and bottom of the case were contact cemented together before I put the hog rings on.

I had to open the rings a bit to make them fit over the 3 layers of leather and opening them 1/8" took too pairs of pliers and a good deal of effort.

When I squeezed the rings shut, I squeezed them mightily :)

Thank you for your concern. Time and use will tell.

Well, you've got the pliers now, and you know how to squeeze rings together again - you're halfway to making chain maille :)

The thought crossed my mind :)

When I saw the pictures, I thought they were hog rings. Thanks for confirming that. Are they stainless? It has been a while since I looked at hog rings, and can't remember if they are mild steel or stainless.

I doubt that they are stainless.

I scored them from a rabbit hobbyist supply house.

Kind of hoping they patina a little with age.

Nicest looking Pool cue case I have seen, nice work !

How was the velvet looking material to work with ? ---- Wild Bill46

Thank you!

Sewing the velvet was wifey's department.

Basically a tube sock with 6" extra at the top for the overlap.

Sewn with the pretty part on the inside...

There is also a foam core circle in the bottom of the tube to add structural rigidity.

Foam in-between the tube and velvet to keep the cue from rattling around.
