Upholstery Leather, What To Do With It?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've got 2 full hides of upholstery leather, one black and one brown. The black is nice but the brown is naff. I've been lacking inspiration on what do with them as they have been sitting here for months. I made a few handbags for people but can't think of anything interesting to do with it.

I got them both for a song but not sure if that makes me feel any better! lol

Any suggestions from anyone?

Nick

Some great ideas there and has definitely given me some inspiration.

I actually made a set of chairs for a customer the other week and asked them if they wanted leather lol.

Thanks guys

Nick

Just made a huntin' shootin' an' fishin' type waistcoat for a customer out of upholstery leather. Came out a treat and may even make myself one.

Luke... Nice workspace! I hope to have a setup like that someday...

As for upholstery leather... I bought some recently for filigree belts/dog collars. It's brightly coloured, so I intend to overlay veg tan on top of it and hand sew it together.
