  1. I would probably mold it first, and then stitch it. Is the process much different?
  2. So, I am getting ready to start on my first wallet, and I'm thinking of doing a rodeo wallet style. Does anybody have any advice or patterns for a very green novice?
  3. The first thing I'm looking to make is a simply sheath for a small flashlight of mine. (led lenser F1). It's pretty small, only about 8 or 9cm. I'm thinking a paddle style holster, but I'm not sure yet. Any suggestions would be more than welcome.
  4. So, I am very new to everything leatherworking. (and I am largely teaching myself, as I don't have any friends who are leatherworkers. One thing I am trying to do is leather molding. I know nothing about it nor how to do it. Basically I want to know anything and everything on how I can get started. Thanks!
  5. Hello, I'm brand new to this forum, and about as green when it comes to leather work as you can get. I dabbled a bit with coin bags about three-four years ago, but soon ran out of money for leather. I recently picked it back up again, but all I've made so far is a knife sheath and some key chains. I know absolutely nothing about carving, molding, or any of that stuff; but would really like to learn! I have a small catch: I'm a 21st century college student living on a 19th century budget... I don't have cash to spare, so right now I'm looking for cheaper projects that will help me learn. What I would really like to learn is how to make a rodeo wallet, if any of you guys have any advice on that... Here is my most recent project. Please critique, you can't hurt my feelings.
