Poll: Weaver Heritage Skiver Vs. Tandy Craftool High Tech Skiver

I am going to get a skiver and was wondering if I could get some feedback on which one would be the best for me. I don't do to much skiving yet but plan to do more hopefully. My concern is the cost of the replacment blades down the road..

I haven't seen either one. But i doubt you will wear out a blade by sharpening it in your life time, unless you really screw one up sharping it.You are talking about a splitter that screws onto your table right ?

The Tandy High Tech Skiver is a toy that cost 40.00 when it first came out in the '70's. But it was better than the nothing you could buy then.
