  1. I realize this is a little late, but you might look up forum member Kate and also look at some of her jeweled browbands here: http://www.irishhuntersandjumpers.com/LeatherPage2.html I believe there is a way to stitch semi-precious beads into the work as additional security against losing the stones. Dave
  2. I have used buckleguy too - very satisfied with the quality and quick shipping.
  3. wow! they look great:You_Rock_Emoticon:
  4. I must be cursed - finally bought one on ebay, and the package got wet in transit and the stamp fell out somewhere between KS and FL. I was quite disappointed when I got an empty yellow mailer with a hole in it. I got my money back of course, but would have rather had the stamp. Oh, well. I no longer need it, but thanks to all who replied.
  5. I found one - thanks to all who responded!
  6. That is the set all right. I try to buy from the scout store whenever possible - unfortunately they don't have the arrow of light stamp. Thanks for the response Yep I'm watching it. Maybe fourth time is charm... or maybe I'm just being too cheap. I have lost 3 auctions now by only $1 or $2. Thanks!
  7. Thanks Luke - I think its a bit small, though I was actually considering using one if I can't get ahold of the 3d stamp.
  8. I need a 3D arrow of light stamp if anyone has one hanging around. I keep getting outbid every time one shows up on ebay. I will pay up to $15 for one. I only need it for one small project - a thank you gift for a den leader. If anyone has one they don't want to sell, but might be willing to loan for a week, I would pay for shipping and we could figure out some sort of deposit arrangement with paypal. Dave
  9. I have two foot presses, but need dies I am looking to trade one of them for some setting dies. Or I will sell one to buy dies. I am looking for eyelet and common rivet/snap sizes. I already have a self-piercing grommet set. These are very heavy blue kick presses - they look just like the ones on the campbell randall website, but not the same brand. They say "Works Co. New York" and "No. 39" Located in central Florida. I can disassemble for shipping, but it is quite heavy - just the press, I need the table for the other one Open to any offers.
  10. This site explains the mexican basketweave as well as lots of other useful stuff. And you can't beat the price. http://kingsmerecrafts.com/page100.html Dave
  11. It looks great! I really like the style of it. Can you post some more pictures - of the insides and the straps? Dave
  12. I did get it up an running- It is the 42-5 with the big hook. Once I replaced the bobbin case it only needed a few small adjustments and now it is sewing great. It is so nice to be able to use those bigger threads! Unfortunately mine didn't come with the oil cup, so I am going to have to rig something up in order to use some linen blend thread I have - but the polyester thread I have is working great! I am in the process of moving & haven't had time to put it to work much, but I have got all kinds of project ideas simmering - I can't wait to get my shop set up again! I am looking to follow your lead and put it in a treadle. I also have the parts & instruction manual from the Singer site. By the way - I really like the gemstone browbands on your website. Do you use wire to hold the beads in place? Dave
  13. This machine has sold. Thanks!
  14. Sweet top hat! I would like to get the pattern too. Even better, why not come back to Winter Park for a visit and host a class in your old digs? I still blame you for getting me into this hobby - I swore it would only last a year... - Dave
  15. I will keep an eye out for a stand. I saw one by itself on ebay a few weeks ago, but I'm not sure if it is still around. I picked up a 29k58 with a stand a while back - I fixed up the head and thats what I use now, but I'm waiting on some room in my garage before refinishing the stand. I'm pretty sure it isn't the original stand for the 29k58 because it is much longer than you would expect - probably for a long-arm patcher. The thing is, I haven't been able to find a stand that looks anything like it in all the pictures of patchers I could find - It has an "S" so I think it is a singer, but I couldn't find any singer logos with lion heads. Anyway, I thought it was pretty unique - can't wait to clean it up and repaint it. Tell me what you think!
