  1. NoahL, Thanks for your input. Perhaps I presented my needs in the wrong way. Of course we would love to have someone onboard that is skilled in all aspects of leather work, but actual "tooling" is probably something we would not need, at this time, especially with something like a motorcycle seat. The decorative tooling work would be replaced by tattoo art work. However the rest of the seat would be made from leather in a rather traditional manor. So yes, if you have experience with motorcycle seats and alike, we would like to hear from you. Thanks, Robert
  2. Rustyriggin, Mailbox? LOL. I guess that photo just does not have anything in frame for a size reference. Here is another which includes a size reference. Most ladies can hardly fit what they need in it. But, it is a "clutch" or club bag. So the intent is, ID, cell phone, lip gloss, Ipod, car keys, etc. Small items you need at a wedding or nightclub. At least that is how they are being used to date. Please see the attached photos. Thanks, Robert
  3. OutBackP, I think your suggesting I post some photos. So here is a hand held purse called a clutch. This clutch has no strap because your are supposed to "clutch" it. LOL. The silver parts are aluminum, CNC machined by us, with a powder coat finish, the interior is lined with a really cool recycled rubber tire material, and the outside is our Tattooable material. I realize some folks may not know what I am after for a product, but it is hard to describe all the possibilities, in a forum response. Just use your imagination, and think of this material as a leather or other hide / material that is difficult to work with. It rolls very well in one direction, but would be very hard to fold over a DOUBLE 90 deg corner. One 90 deg bend it does well, but the second contour is much harder. I guess simply put I think a jacket fully made from this material would be very difficult or impossible if you wanted to make a traditional "biker" jacket. Not to mention, very tacky. IMO. But making a motorcycle seat for a traditional "chopper" type of bike is very easily accomplished after a stumble or two, by the right craftsperson. Thanks, Robert
  4. Hello All, New to the forum, first post. Have to say some really great work being done here! My name is Robert Stone. You can see some of our stuff, not leather, at wildiron.deviantart if you like. I am Certainly not trying to spam to the forum. I actually found the leatherworker.net link on Deviant Art. In any case, we are looking for someone skilled in this super cool trade to work with us on a few projects. We have a "Tattooable" material we developed and have some requests and ideas for combining it with hand made leather goods for a very different kind of product. The material, recipe, or IP associated with our tattooables is not for sale. We are not trying to sell the artisans here anything. We are looking for people to work with. We are located 10 minutes from NYC and need to find at least one artisan that is close, even within an hours drive to work with. Although, for some things, a long distance business arrangement is fine, while we "get into leather" we need to "get our hands dirty". If you find the idea intriguing, please send us a pm. Or reply here if you choose. Looking forward to hearing from some of you. Thanks, Robert
