This is a bare bones no padding laced seat.

Bare bones, eh? I get it. It looks padded, though. I can't imagine a bike seat with no padding. There must be something between the metal and the leather.....

Not neccesarily - I've made them, myself, and even seen them made of plain diamond plate steel with nothing else. Of course the guys that get them usually use them a few times, and then the pain becomes greater than the coolness factor. I never understood it myself, but to each his own.

easy, man, I'm not attacking you - just an obsevation from what I 've seen and the seats I've made that I've redone a second time with foam. Many people do go for bare pans for the look and don't realize what they've gotten into - some guys like them and ride them - great. No judgement on you, since I don't know you and it's not my business anyway. Now, cool down, guy.

aint even started to get hot just telling it like i see it ,the pans i use are molded in a way that people find them more comfortable then padded seats .you should NOT jude a book by a cover especially compared to one that was written buy another person but has the same cover ya know, i got 18 inch apes and a suicide shift also got problems with that? im not a hard guy to get along with just hate being categorized with the majority of bikers today, live life for youself and be your self and judge only your self, you know, chain

No problems with anyone - if you go back and read the post I made, it was in response to someone who was surprised at a bare bones seat - you weren't mentioned or aluded to

Damn chain thats alot of miles, wish I could ride that much. I ride allmost 90% of the year but NW WA state is a pain.

Really nice looking seat, my boney ass couldnt handle it for more then short scouts but the work is very good looking and nice clean application of the leather on the seat.

Also is that grey or black, from the pic it looks grey, if it is grey what dye did you use. It looks about the color I am looking for if I ever get around to doing my bike seat.

My first sweetheart had a bike a lot like yours, but the leather wasn't nearly as nice. I liked sitting up high like that because I didn't get any hair in my mouth. :)
