New One For A Sig 1911 Tactical Operations!

Recommended Posts

Very pleased with the outcome of this holster. I especially like the matching Mag Carrier i made for it! I thought about doing a reinforced throat on the mag carrier to make it really match the gun holster lol but it would have been overkill! so may next time :)

great work on the boning detail! 1911's are to me one of the hardest guns to get that level of detail on. What thickness of leather did you use?

It still bugs me that you dont run an edge line on the "end" parts of the holster though

Thanks for the compliments guys, VERY much appreciated.

Shooter im using 8-9oz shoulder. I actually find 1911s to be one of the easier guns to mold. Maybe its because im so in love with them lol. LOL im sorry it bothers you :) I just dont care for the look but maybe it will grow on me someday :)

I really like it. I recently made a snap loop mag pouch as well. I've also thought about doing a reinforced throat mag pouch. Not that it's necessary of course, I've just never used that construction technique. That way, I won't waste much leather if/when I screw it up! What dye did you use? It looks really good. Also what finish?

Thanks, the reinforced throat is actually a pretty easy thing once you understand the order in which to assemble stuff! I have fallen in love with them!.

I use USMC black from fiebings and either satin or super sheen from eco-flo for the finish.
