I do all my solo seats with high density closed cell neoprene, usually 3/4" thickness, I get it here, http://www.foambymail.com/neoprene.html quick service and free shipping over $75. I get the hi quality its much denser, i use the regular quality to back up inlays of exotic skins, usually in 1/8 or 1/4 thickness. The foam that Ive found on most of the pre made vinyl covered seats looks to be nothing more than sofa cushion foam rubber. Far from ideal, holds water like a sponge whereas closed cell neoprene will not hold water.
