Anyone know where to track down the swivel hardware that is used on holsters to allow them to pivot?

MattW, I am looking for the same piece. I have spoken to a couple of holster makers and it sounds like they make their own and will not sell them separately. I would even be interested in knowing what they look like as separate pieces. I might be able to have the part made if anyone knows what they look like. So far, I am unwilling to buy a 200.00 dollar holster just to take it apart and examine the swivel. Any help from this board would be appreciated!

MattW,

Update: I bought a vintage swivel holster to examine the hardware. I got it off of ebay for 12.00. I will post pics of what is inside when I get it deconstructed.

Not sure if anyone is still looking for the Swivel Holster Hardware but Standing Bear's Trading Post currently sells them. They are normally a special order item, but, can be stocked and shipped rather quickly depending on the quantity needed. They are $7.99 each plus tax/shipping where applicable. If you are interested in them please call the shop at 818-342-9120 10AM-6PM Monday-Saturday ~ Sandi

I had a friend that had this on his old Nextel phone. I bet they would work great for holsters. Really heavy duty and if you rotate it totally upside down it can slide off the keeper. Otherwise, it stays firmly in it's swivel mode.

Thank you, I have been on and off of the message board but had a customer looking for this hardware and thought since I had ordered more than he needed, if people were looking for them I would let them know Standing Bear's has them. :)
