antropa Report post Posted November 23, 2011 Hi everyone, Finally after a few years of reading the forum I've registered myself. Great community and wealth of information, looking forward to participating in some of the great discussions. I've recently stumbled across a few tools that looked really interesting. Please, let me know if anyone can help identifying these and hopefully helping out with a way to source them. https://skydrive.liv...E1019D2A8EB!106 Thank You, antropa
King's X Report post Posted November 23, 2011 The first tool is a roller, the second and fourth is a prickler or spacer for creating a even number of holes distance equally. The snippers or pair of small scissors are used for close up cutting. You can find a pair of metal scissors like this at your local sewing shop. all of these items come up regularly on eBay. Good luck and welcome to the forum!
antropa Report post Posted November 23, 2011 (edited) I don't think I ever seen a spacer/prickler combo like this. All the pricklers I've seen so far are inline and spacers are usually pretty dull just for marking. Any ideas where I can get a spacer/prickler combo tool ? Thanks Edited November 23, 2011 by antropa
King's X Report post Posted November 24, 2011 In the sewing side, there is one sold that has a metal head and plastic body. The suggested use is for 'pattern transfers.' I just one on sale on ebay. if I see it again before the ad runs out, I will try and remember to post it on here for you. Good luck
antropa Report post Posted November 24, 2011 Thank You for pointing me to the sewing side . I found the tool, they call it "Needlepoint Pattern Tracing Wheel" Pretty inexpensive under $6, so not too sure about the quality. I'll order one just to see if it can work as a spacer and prickler. Might be not bad on thin leather I'm often using for watch straps. Feel free to chime in with opinions.
King's X Report post Posted November 24, 2011 It will be an inexpensive and low on quality. Depending on what your needs are, you might jump ship and see what you can find on eBay. Some of the auctions are overseas anyways. Good luck
