  1. I'd be willing to pay for a good pattern. Especially a pattern similar to the Expedition from theleathershop.com . There pack sells for $1600, which is way out of my budget.
  2. Yes I know Wyomingslick. Let me know. I'm not a dumb a--. Just a simple request.
  3. Nice work. I'm looking for someone who can come up with a pattern similar to the Expedition Bag sold at theleathershop.com What would you charge me if you did the work?
  4. I saw your post on the grs. Any new info or web sites for demo using leather?

I haven't investigated it any further. I use a grs Graversmith at my day job.

  5. I'm also considering a Power tool to speed the tooling process, but without sacrificing quality. Nothing wrong with power tools to do the same job traditionally done with hand tools. Same in wood working, there are the purists and there are those of us that can do the same with power tools faster and sometimes better and with a shorter learning curve. Let me know if there is a further word on this subject.
  6. I'm having a lot of trouble shaping the foam on my V Star 1300 solo seat. A electric carving knife only works on flat or convex surfaces, not on concave. My goal is to shape the foam then adapt veg tanned leather over the foam after tooling a design. So far I've learned that the foam has to be very smooth, otherwise the bumps and irregularities in the foam will show through. If I cannot shape the leather myself, I'm taking the seat and have MREDMOTO in Albany Oregon do the foam part.
  7. You put a lot into your work. Very nice. You've given me ideas for my motorcycle.
