raysouth Report post Posted January 13, 2012 Anyone know of a manual or information sheet that describes/explains what the different components are on machines such as the Cobra4 and CB 4500, both of which appear to be identical? Would be a tremedous asset for someone, as myself, that knows zilch about these machines. Things I find difficult to obtain, is information about ; what types of thread to use for particular projects/operations, proper thread tensions and how to gauge what is correct and how to make proper adjustments, what needles to use for different threads and sewing operations, proper use and adjustments/setups of different plates and feet, and an overall good troubleshooting guide. Wish I knew these things and could publish such a manual as it seems as though there are many of the units in use and probably many more to come. Newcomers, never having touched a sewing machine before, would certainly find such a book beneficial. I would be happy to put together a sheet, describing the various components on the machines if I could find out more about them. Printed material and cd's included with the machines do not seem to go into detailed explanations about machine components and how they function. All I would need is pics of machines showing the different components and information about them. Would then send copy to the machine vendors that would like to have them, all at no cost.
