Items Stolen From Duane Ballard This Weekend

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately there were several items stolen from the Ballard's at a show this weekend in the Salinas, CA area. I will be posting more pictures of the stolen items as they're available.

Also included in the pictures is an image of Duane's maker's stamp which is on all of the items from what I know. Please keep an eye out and if you see anything let me know and I'll pass the information along to them.

That sucks. I have only ONE use for a thief.... 1 thief + 7.62 x 39 = justice :innocent:

Allen, that just so sucks. The items are beautiful and so well made and to lose them in ANY way, and to a thief is so discouraging. I hope they are recovered. Cheryl

Some people aren't smart enough to know not to steal from a leather crafter. Who needs to hide a body when you can just make an "exotic leather" saddle?

More updates from Duane Ballard:

"These are some of the items that were taken out of our truck Friday night in Salinas Ca. I just made over 30 custom key chains and they have my fist on the front of them. We didn't take photos of them as I finished them up on Thursday night. The Rat Fink / Circle Jerk panel and our new t-shirts were also stolen. Any help would be appreciated"

Custom Purse was taken as well

The key chains are longer than this one but are all hand sewn with brass hardware and the DB stamp or DB concho

Those thieves must be pretty well bone-headed. Anyone who knows what DB stuff is, well, they are going to know this stuff is stolen. With any luck it'll be found.

Have you posted a notice in any motorcycle/Sturgis forums and let them be on the lookout too? They might be trying to sell the seats in a local or online classified, and the motorcycle groups would give you a bunch more eyes across the country to find the stuff.

yeah, there are lots of Duane's friends spreading the word all over the web and California/US - I'm just doing my part here. I highly doubt they'll get away with it. If they were smart they'd box it up and send it all back no questions asked, but I doubt that will happen. Someone said they thought they saw the wallet on ebay, but we haven't been able to find it yet.

Thanks for all the help in getting the word out. They also took a box with all my new shirts in it and an art print I had bought at a show that evening. The shirts are a new design that I don't even own one of. So hopefully someone will be spotted wearing one and that will lead to the thief.

There's a lead out there somewhere - just have to find it. Were you able to find anything about that wallet on Ebay? I spent a couple hours looking through different searches and couldn't see anything.
