Folks, Some friends recently gave me a beautiful Champion stitcher. I have been hand sewing sheaths to date and know very little (maybe nothing!) about getting this machine going. Is there anyone out there familiar with these machines that would mind giving me some fundamentals on how this all works. I would love to give some one a call via telephone if they would be willing to help a novice though I sure don't want to be a bother to anyone. Thanks so much in advance. Jim G.

Friends, Some friends just gave me a beautiful old Champion wide throat needle/awl stitcher. I have been sewing my sheaths for the knives a make by hand so very excited about getting it going. This is all new to me so please excuse my ignorance. My questions are what kind of thread to buy and what size needles and awls and where is a supplier of this type of thing. Thanks in advance. PS Anyone know where I could get a good manual for this machine. Thanks again, Jim G
