Making the hat bit seems soooo difficult and I don't envy you if you set out to do it. Nice going with the carving and tooling of those leafs and flowers. It is a sunvisor. The Visor part which you see and the another leather head band to which it is sewn. Then an 1 1/4 buckle to finish it off.
