im looking to get a white alligator tack set. or enough skin to have someone make it for me. can anyone do this for a reasonable price could i get this and paint it http://www.4hides.com/Leather_Collections/Pages/Embossed_Crocodile.html#5 and how much would i need?

The key to keep any sealer from cracking is light coats dry between each coat. I use acrylic resolene mixed 50/50 with water. Sometimes I use saddlelac all applied in thin coats and I dry them under a heat lamp. I haven't had any problems with cracking. If your paint is cracking it needs to be reduced with water and applied in thin coats also.

okay so i have been painting leather bronc nosebands for retail sales. i use acrylic paints. but i have been playing around with sealer. the one i have now works pretty well but could be better it cracks but very tiny cracks. the leather is oiled on one side and i paint on the back side of it. i only pay ten bucks a peice for leather so what im getting at is what sealer should i use to protect from water and keep from cracking and should i be using a different type of leather, could anyone give me the same or better deal? i attached a pic of my work!
