  1. Ok, thank you for the response.
  2. I am in the middle making my first padfolio and have a question. I am wondering how far does your stitching groove need to be from the edge? I was told at tandy to put it .25 inch off of the edge. Is this correct or does it need to be closer? Thank you for all the help in advance! Jeremy
  3. Looks really good! Question, how did you get the edges of the belt the darker color? What did you use while burnishing? Thanks, Jeremy
  4. Finished these up for some folks for christmas. My first time using this much color but I think they turned out nice. Any helpful advice would be welcome. Thanks, Jeremy
  5. Sorry for not being more clear. Yes, I do want a sheridan style floral pattern to cover the front only. I need a blank area in the middle to put his brand. He told me last night that he wants it to fit a legal pad, which is 14" tall x 8 1/2" wide. Thank you for the link, that looks like it could be a great resource but I did not find any patterns to fit that size. Would it be best to just find some one that can draw and have them do it? Thanks for the advice! Jeremy
  6. I am looking for a floral pattern to do on the front of a portfolio. The portfolio's dimensions are 11 3/4" x 8 1/2". I can't draw a pattern well enough to use. Any suggestions of where I can find one would be greatly apperciated. Thank you! Jeremy
  7. Thanks. I am still learning so I am a little slow but total it took me about 10 hours. It is getting faster with each belt that I have done.
  8. Here is my second belt. Please give advice and things that can be improved on.
  9. I started messing with leather at the beginning of the year. I have done some small projects and decided to try my hand at a belt and I am pleased with the way it turned out. I started with a Tandy beginners kit (which now I know has less then awesome tools) but am slowing replacing the tools that I use most often with better ones. Please give me pointers on things that I can improve on. I know there are lots of them. Thanks, Jeremy final belt.bmp final belt 2 REVISED.bmp final belt 3 REVISED.bmp
