What weight leather did you use? It's very nice.

Thank you guys, this is the first shield I have done any tooling on. It was one of those things that I thought I would try. I am planning to make some suspenders for myself.

I need some help, I have been working with leather off and on for several years and until recently I have been afraid of tooling. I met a guy that showed me how easy it is and has taught me a lot and gives me good constructive criticism on my work to make me better. I have some tools from Tandy and he has loaned me some of his tools that are Ellis Barnes. I am getting frustrated with my Tandy tools because I can see the difference by using the different tools. He bought his set that came with 15 tools but it has been a couple years now. Does anyone know if it is possible to still buy a set? I have searched online but have had no luck. Please help!!!!!

I am getting ready to make a belt slide, pancake style holster for a Springfield 1911 and would like to know what yall would recommend for a stitch alowance around the trigger guard and on the slide? Thank you in advance!!!!
