I am trying to find a good leather to make a shoulder holster type setup. I am looking for something that would look good with a suit and is comfortable to wear. I am hoping that the leather will form the the person wearing it after a while. I figure it has to be something that wont stain clothing also.

I noticed after I picked up my singer 112w that it does not have a bottom cover that also catches oil. Is there somewhere you guys go to get parts like this? Also I am looking for the mounting brackets that allow you to tilt the machine backwards in order to oil the gears. If anyone can help me track this stuff down I would really appreciate it. I found this in a thrift store really cheap and the table was redone so its not the original setup.

On this 112w machine i see a few gears that run the bobbin mechanism. Do you use some grease on that or is it just oil you use to lube it?

I was trying to figure out the differences between these two styles of machines. I know the 112 is a double needle but do they both feed the same? Is the 111w a walking foot machine? Will one do thicker materials vs the other? I did a lot of searching and looking at picks online but cant figure it out based on my limited knowledge of these machines.

I wanted to make some holsters and thought this machine might fit the bill ok while I practice. Will I have any issues with the feed dogs making marks on the leather?

I found this machine at a local shop and would like to learn more about what I have and what I need. It looks like it just has a typical presser foot on it and I am looking to get a walking foot. What would I need to get and where do you guys find parts?

I saw an ad for a mitsubishi MODEL 311-155 but dont know and cant find anything about it. Does anyone know if this machine is similar to any other machines?

After more research it looks like a Yamata FY5318. 300 seems like a bit too much for me when they go on ebay for about $515.

Is 300 a good price for this machine?

There is one in my area for sale and I was wondering if it would be good for upholstery? I cannot find anything about it online.
