busted Report post Posted July 30, 2010 (edited) A friend of mine is a machinist. I asked him to rework my old 22 oz. maul to make it heavier. He showed up last night with the following "rework". He explained that the only part of the old maul that remained was the main shaft.. The photos are obvious of his skills there are no tool surfaces on this maul. The handle will not loosen from use. It's weight 3 lbs. 5 ozs.. Inch and one half handle. It is 9 inches in length made of red brass and a different type of material the the head. I don't recall what he said it is.
