  3. Great job! If these are your first tooling projects I'd say you did great, far better than my tooling and I've practiced a little, you must be a natural
  4. Amazing work, very nice and clean, hope I can produce work of that quality some day
  5. Very nice, really like the tooling and dyeing
  6. I first dyed the edges black, then streaked some Tan Kote on the undyed parts to resist dye it with med brown fiebings
  7. Just finished a head band for a Halloween costume, and here it is
  8. Made my first sword frog last night, thanks to Hivemind for the great tutorial available on leatherworker.net!
  9. Hi all, Not sure if anyone else has tried it, but I picked up a 2 oz. bottle of Leather Magic by Core Products the other day from a janitorial supply store. It claimed to clean, restore and protect fine leather and vinyl, and for $3.00 for 2 oz. to try it I couldn't resist. Tried it for finishing a sword frog I made tonight, and have to say I am very impressed. The edges got very smooth with a small amount of Leather Magic and a burnishing tool, much better than the fiebing's aussie leather conditioner that I tried the week before. I still love Doc Bailey's Leather Tonic, but this may prove to be right up there with it. I highly recommend giving it a try, and if you can't find it locally, it can be found online at very reasonable costs by searching for Core Leather Magic. Give it a try, if you don't like it, you're not out much, but I am really impressed with it.
  10. Great tutorial, very thorough! Was pleasantly surprised to find this after searching for sword frogs, and can't wait to try my hand at making one. Thanks!
