Getting Ready To Buy A Machine

Recommended Posts

I'm guna be buying my 1st machine after many years of useing a Boss.

I'm looking at the Techsew stuff but cant find any reference to maximum bobbin thread size on there site.

I want to be able to sew with 346 top and bottom like I could with my Boss.

Dose anyone know what the maximum bobbin thread sizes are for these machines?

Techsew 3650

Techsew 4100

Techsew 5100

Thanks!

I believe you would need to look at the Techsew 5100 or several other of the large machines. Keep in mind that you cannot sew with the smaller/finer threads with these.

Thanks Ferg!

My stuff would all use 277 - 346 and the 5100 is what I'm leaning towards for the pressor foot lift.

I recommend the 16.5" arm 5100, rather than the shorter arm 4100, or bottom feed only 3650. It will handle #346 thread, top and bottom, using a #26 needle. Be sure you order #25, 26 and 27 leather point needles with the machine, along with the thread.
