Hello,

First of all I just want to say what a great forum this is, so much useful information.

I have been experimenting with different ways of staining leather with natural products and I was just wanting to find out if anyone has tried using Van Dyck Crystals as a leather dye. Apparently is is derived from black walnut hulls, I'm not sure if anything else has been added? As a lot of people have had success with making there own dyes out of black walnut hulls I wanted to know if this product would work?

They are usually used in wood working as a stain.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Matt
