Had an idea for a toolbag using pistons for the ends. This is what I came up with. Its 10" long, about 4" across the end and the straps in the back are 6 3\4" on center and will fit a narrow glide front end. I built it to sell so I thought I would share.

Thanks

Joker

That's a very nice tool bag! The idea is great! I just wonder if the ends are gonna want to sag after a while due to the weight of the piston heads... I guess only time will tell!

Troy,

The ones that I have seen have a piece of formed lexan or something similar that essentially gives a portion of the bag it's shape (near where the leather is riveted to the piston on this design). Essentially it forms a bottom and a back for the bag...eliminating any sag that might occur. The other one I saw used aluminum piston tops and aluminum sheet formed....then they welded it together and then covered it with leather.

Regards,

Ben

Not sure if it will sag or not. Using just the one center strap should help with that. The pistons are aluminum out of a shovelhead, so the weight isnt that bad. I had never seen another bag using piston tops for the ends, thought I had an orginal idea, goes to show someone else is always quicker. Thanks for the kutos.
