Pfaff 335-H2 Presser Foot Feed Issues

Recommended Posts

I've recently bought a second hand pfaff 335-h2 cylinder bed sewing machine & I'm having some issues with the presser foot. It isn't feeding the fabric through properly. The vibrating presser foot is working fine, but the fabric is just bunching up between the two feet & jamming. I've adjusted the tension on both feet and I did seem to get it all working for one very short test run, but now - nothing! What I'm noticing is that while the vibrating presser lifts between stitches, the presser foot doesn't. I've looked at the adjustment manual, the user manual, and the adjustment manual for the Pfaff 145 which is a similar, though flatbed, machine. Any suggestions greatly appreciated! :)

Just to clarify - having gone through the manual and found as much information as I can online the issue is the other way round, I mistook my feet :) the presser foot is working and I've managed to get a handle on how to adjust it using the manual - the problem is the vibrating presser, which none of the manuals seem to elaborate on and I can't work out how to adjust. It's currently not lifting off the needle plate at all.

You need to match the stroke of the inner and outer foot. Here's a link to the procedure: http://www.manualslib.com/manual/121969/Pfaff-1245.html?page=51#manual

Your machine may not be 7mm, it might be less. I use a stack of playing cards as a spacer, adding/removing them until both feet raise to the same height. Then I tape the stack together, write the thickness and throw it in my "adjustment tools" drawer.

Can you explain this as I am going through the same problem as on my pfaff 335 and I look at that manual and  my presser foot is not lifiting or even adjusting at all.

Thank you.

The walk of the feet is off.  That has to be equalized for the feet to work properly

Thank you.

Did you get this fixed?  Was it the needle bar rocker shaft being out of time?
