Just wanted to finaly drop in and introduce myself, as i have been lurking around this forum for some time looking for a new hobby. I curently own a struggling automotive accessories buisness and looking to supliment some income. it all started when i went to buy a IWB holster for a 1911 with a rail. I was having a dificult time finding what i wanted in my price range so i went to zack whites supply and bought my first peice of leather. Once some of my friends saw what i was making and i could offer them a great deal i started making more of them. After making only 4 holsters i found a great deal on a cobra class 4 machine and bought it. It has only been used a few times before pushing it into a corner and giving up on leather work. Last week was another slow week at work, so after sitting around the house i went upstairs and pulled out the machine and some leather and decided to make my first biker wallet. The outer cover is 3-4oz veg tanned and the insides are 1oz veg tanned. This wallet is a monster, mesuring 8"x4" closed and about 1 1/4 thick. Here are some pics of my work so far, keep in mind i am just getting into this but criticism is accepted and part of making my products better in the future.
