Coin Holder Conchos

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone:

Had a customer request a belt with conchos using some Susan B. Anthony dollars his grandfather passed on to him. He does not want anything glued or attached to the dollars themselves but rather they be placed/snapped into a concho with a screw back.

Does anyone know of a supplier for something like that. Sorry I do not have a picture, the customer only knows he saw them years ago and if I can find, I have the order. Have googled till I am blind, please help.

Thanks for any assistance.

How about epoxy to a Chicago screw , don't know if you could use the coin covers used on uncirculated coins , kind of a picky customer right . Try making some using quarters to show them , hard to please some. Gary

GRUMPY

I ventured the idea of covering them in leather to the customer but they saw what they saw and that is what they want. I agree though it would be much easier. In the end they may have to accept it or move on.

SILVERBULLET

Picky customer is an understatement, beginning to be a pain in the ......well anyway. I will research the coin covers to see if this may work.

I appreciate both of your responses and suggestions.

Here you go: https://www.standardrivet.com/spots/13-coin-holders.php

Standard rivet makes coin holders that act like spots. Should not hurt the coins.

Cheers!

I am guessiing the customer remebers seeing coins on a belt.. He probably does not know how they were actually attached He has just given you his desire that he thinks they should be romvable. I have used coin bezels and leather rings etc. To hold coins on belts holster etc. I have never seen an actual screw back coin holder. Not to say for sure they do not exist, however obviously they are hard to find. I would give your customer the options availabe. If they don't like any of them send him on his way to find the maker that can do it his way. my guess is that maker will be as ellusive as the screw back coin holders. It looks like the standard coin bezels are about as close as you are going to come.

Thanks for the link, I will share the information with the customer and go from there. At least you provided me with another supplier, which is always appreciated.

Always appreciate your input and I agree. Sometimes I wonder if he is just playing, so options it is and then he can go to another playground. Thanks again for your input.
